FITRI SETYANIGSIH

Fitri Setyaningsih, lulus dari STSI (sekarang ISI di Surakarta) pada 2003. Fitri pertama kali mengenal tari tradisi Jawa karena kebetulan bertumbuh di lingkungan para penari. Berjalannya waktu ia mengembangkan kerja tarinya dalam karya eklektik, yang secara kritis mempertanyakan tubuh dalam tarian “kontemporer”. Fitri terus mendalami persinggungan, antara benda-benda sehari-hari, gerak, suara, visual, dan pertunjukan. Keberanian pernyataannya adalah, “Tari tidak semata-mata peristiwa gerak. Ia adalah peristiwa media dari berbagai disiplin yang lainnya dan tubuh tetap sebagai poros utamanya”.

Fitri mengintegrasikan gerakan kehidupan sehari-hari dan benda-benda, serta telah menciptakan karya sejak tahun 2000 hingga kini. Ia telah dianugerahi sebagai salah satu seniman berpengaruh di Indonesia oleh majalah Berita Mingguan Tempo (2011), peraih Empowering Women Artis oleh Yayasan Kelola 2010/2011, serta peraih commission artist ACC Gwangju melalui karya Mega-Mendung (2015-2017). Karya terbarunya dalam format virtual dengan kolaborasi sinematografi berjudul “Kinjeng Tangis” dipertunjukkan dalam jaringan melalui platform Borobudur Writers Culture and Festival (2020) dan “Watu Gamping” melalui platform Indonesian Dance Festival (2021).

Fitri Setyaningsih, graduated from STSI (now ISI in Surakarta) in 2003. Fitri’s first introduction to Javanese traditional dance starts from her surroundings in a circle of her dancers’ friends. Over time she developed her dance work in eclectic works, which critically questioned the body in “contemporary” dance. Fitri continues to explore the intersection between everyday objects, motion, sound, visuals, and performances. The boldness of his statement is, “Dance is not merely a movement event. It is a media event from a variety of other disciplines and the body remains its main axis.”

Fitri integrates the movements of everyday life and objects. She has been creating works since 2000 until now. She has been awarded as one of the influential artists in Indonesia by the Tempo Weekly News magazine (2011), the winner of Empowering Women Artist by the Manage Foundation 2010/2011, and the winner of commission artist ACC Gwangju through Mega-Mendung (2015-2017). His latest work in a virtual format with a cinematographic collaboration entitled “Kinjeng Tangis” was shown online through the Borobudur Writers Culture and Festival (2020) platform and “Watu Gamping” through the Indonesian Dance Festival (2021) platform.

ARSITA ISWARDHANI

Arsita Iswardhani adalah seorang aktor dan Performance-maker, seniman kolektif dari Teater Garasi / Garasi Performance Institute. Ia mengeksplorasi metode penciptaan pertunjukan melalui berbagai pendekatan lintas budaya dan lintas disiplin. Dia mempelajari seni bela diri, tari Jawa, Metode Suzuki, dan etnografi sebagai sarana pembuatan pertunjukan

Proyek terakhir dengan Teater Garasi adalah The Multitude of Peer Gynts. Beberapa karya pertunjukan solonya telah diadakan di festival; seperti Undisclosed Territory (Solo, Indonesia) dan Low Fat Art Festival (Thailand). Pada tahun 2020, ia membuat karya kolaborasi dengan beberapa seniman muda Asia dari Filipina, Malaysia, Korea Selatan, dan Jepang; dan menjadi fasilitator dalam program Asian Performing Arts Farm (APAF) Laboratory 2020.

Arsita Iswardhani is an actor and performance-maker, a collective artist from the Teater Garasi / Garasi Performance Institute. She explores the methods of creating performances through various intercultural and interdisciplinary approaches. She studies martial arts, Javanese dance, the Suzuki Method, and ethnography as a means of performance making.

Last project with Teater Garasi was The Multitude of Peer Gynts. Some of her solo performance works has been held in festivals; such as Undisclosed Territory (Solo, Indonesia) and Low Fat Art Festival (Thailand). In 2020, she made collaboration work with some young Asian artist from Philippine, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan; and was a facilitator in the Asian Performing Arts Farm (APAF) Laboratory 2020 program.

ABDI KARYA

Abdi Karya adalah seniman multidisiplin yang bekerja sejak 2004. Dia bekerja sebagai sutradara, performer, dan manajer seni. Dia menekuni seni performans sejak 2013 melalui Undisclosed Territory. Sejak itu, karya-karya teaternya yang banyak mengolah material sarung  menemukan perluasan ruangnya melalui seni performans dan instalasi.

Dia telah bekerja di Teater Titik Dua UKM Seni UNM, Yayasan Batara Gowa, Rumata’ Art Space, Watermill Center dan kini turut mengelola program di Omah Kebon WhaniDpProject-Yogyakarta. Ia juga bekerja dengan sejumlah seniman lain seperti Robert Wilson, Theater na nOg & Imitating The Dog (UK), Teater Koma, Riri Riza, Melati Suryodarmo, Garin Nugroho, Mella Jaarsma, hingga Rianto.

Karya teater dan performansnya telah dipresentasikan di Watermill Center, Colombo International Theatre Festival, Jakarta Theater Platform, Indonesian Dance Festival, Cabaret Chairil, ARTJOG, Jakarta Biennale, Castlemaine State Festival dan terakhir mengkurasi proyek Yolngu-Macassan untuk comission work di Asia Pacific Triennale di QAGOMA.

Abdi Karya is a multidisciplinary artist working since 2004. He works as a director, performer and art manager. He has been pursuing performance art since 2013 through Undisclosed Territory. Since then, his theatrical works, which mostly use sarong as materials, have found expansion in their space through performance and installation arts.

He has worked at the Art UKM Point Theater of UNM, Batara Gowa Foundation, Rumata’ Art Space, Watermill Center and now co-manages the program at Omah Kebon WhaniDpProject-Yogyakarta. He has also worked with a number of other artists such as Robert Wilson, Theater na nOg & Imitating The Dog (UK), Teater Koma, Riri Riza, Melati Suryodarmo, Garin Nugroho, Mella Jaarsma, to Rianto.

His theatrical works and performances have been presented at the Watermill Center, Colombo International Theater Festival, Jakarta Theater Platform, Indonesian Dance Festival, Cabaret Chairil, ARTJOG, Jakarta Biennale, Castlemaine State Festival and finally curated the Yolngu-Macassan project for commission work in the Asia Pacific Triennale at QAGOMA .

 

GILANG ANOM MANAPU MANIK

 

Gilang Anom Manapu Manik, lahir pada tahun 1997 adalah seorang seniman visual & performer yang berbasis di Bandung, Indonesia. Pada usia 15 ia memilih mengalihkan studinya dari sekolah klasik ke homeschooling, untuk fokus pada seni dan mengembangkan keterampilan, serta ide dan perspektifnya melalui lokakarya, residensi, mengikuti program pertukaran budaya dan kelas independen dengan seniman senior.

Ia menggunakan gambar, lukisan, instalasi, seni video, pemetaan visual, dan kostum pertunjukan sebagai media untuk karya visualnya, serta gerakan tubuh dan nyanyian mantra untuk karya pertunjukannya.

Orcyworld adalah dunia yang ditempa oleh pertanyaan dan keingintahuan tentang struktur alam semesta, mimpi dan imajinasi, visi masa lalu dan visi masa depan, mitos dan konsep bidang spiritual, dunia yang mengambil tempatnya di luar batas fisik kita. Orcyworld adalah konsep dasar karyanya, untuk membawa makhluk dan budaya tradisional mereka melalui cerita, mitos, pola, bahasa, kostum upacara, dan ritual upacara.

Gilang Anom Manapu Manik, born in 1997 is a visual & performing artist based in Bandung, Indonesia. At the age of 15, he switched his study from public school to homeschooling, focusing more on developing his skills, ideas, and perspective in arts through workshops, residencies, joining cultural exchange programs, and independent classes with senior artists.

He uses drawing, painting, installation, video art, visual mapping, performance costume as his medium for his visual work, and body movement and mantra singing for his performance work.

Orcyworld is a world that is forged by question and curiosity of the universe’s structure, dream, and imagination, the vision of the past and vision of the future, myth and the concepts of the spiritual plane, a world that is taking its place outside our physical limits. Orcyworld is the base concept of his work, to bring its beings and their traditional culture through their stories, myth, patterns, languages, ceremonial costumes, and ceremonial Rituals.

SYSKA LA VEGGIE

Syska La Veggie. Seorang visual artist dengan beragam medium lukisan, gambar, sulam, cetak cukil, mix media dan performance art. Karya-karyanya banyak mengangkat isu-isu perempuan, terutama perlawanan terhadap budaya patriarki. Lulusan STIKOSA AWS jurusan Broadcasting dan STKWS jurusan Seni Rupa Murni. Beberapa karyanya pernah terlibat dan dipamerkan ke berbagai event, diantaranya: Performance Art Sharing oleh Dewan Kesenian Jakarta di Galeri Cipta 3 Taman Ismail Mazuki, Jakarta (2016); Expedition Camp bersama seniman 6 negara, Tangerang dan Serang (2018); Rewind Art, di Universitas Negeri Jakarta (2019); Performance Art Malang Festival (2015 & 2020); Pameran Daring MANIFESTO VII “Pandemi” di galnasonline.id, Galeri Nasional (2020); dll. WIP Exhibition “gakboleh begini gak boleh begitu katanya”, merupakan pameran tunggal pertamanya di Surabaya (2021), merupakan hasil mini residensi dengan Indonesia Visual Art Archive (IVAA).

Syska juga kerap terlibat dalam manajemen berbagai proyek seni serta menggagas beberapa program kegiatan. Syska menjabat sebagai Direktur Program Biennale Jatim 8 (2019) dan Biennale Jatim IX (2021). Selain itu, juga tergabung dalam Jaringan Perempuan Pekerja Seni Indonesia (PUAN SENI) sebagai fasilitator Jawa Timur, serta menjadi bagian dari Perempuan Lintas Batas (PERETAS).

Bersama beberapa seniman perempuan di Jawa Timur mendirikan kelompok Perempuan Pengkaji Seni (PPS), sebagai platform bagi perempuan dalam menyampaikan perspektifnya melalui seni, serta turut hadir membangun ekosistem seni yang lebih kritis, beragam, dan setara dalam konteks keadilan gender. Semasa pandemi Covid-19, Syska bersama partnernya membuat platform Art Down Forum, dengan beberapa program dikerjakan yang dapat diakses di akun IG @artdown_forum.

Selain berkesenian, juga aktif sebagai pegiat isu perempuan dan gerakan kesetaraan gender. Syska pernah menjadi ketua Women’s March Surabaya 2020 dan International Women’s Day Surabaya 2021 dan 2022, merupakan kegiatan perayaan hari perempuan internasional juga sebagai gerakan aksi kami dalam menyuarakan hak serta perlawanan terhadap ketidakadilan perempuan (gender).

Syska La Veggie is a visual artist with various mediums of painting, drawing, embroidery, handprint, mixed media, and performance art. Many of her works raise women’s issues, especially resistance to patriarchal culture. Graduated from STIKOSA AWS majoring in Broadcasting and STKWS majoring in Fine Arts.

Some of his works have been involved and exhibited in various events, including Performance Art Sharing by the Jakarta Arts Council at Galeri Cipta 3 Taman Ismail Mazuki, Jakarta (2016); Expedition Camp with artists from 6 countries, Tangerang and Serang (2018); Rewind Art, at the State University of Jakarta (2019); Performance Art Malang Festival (2015 & 2020); MANIFESTO VII Online Exhibition “Pandemic” at galnasonline.id, National Gallery (2020); etc. The WIP Exhibition “you can’t do this, you can’t say that”, is the first solo exhibition in Surabaya (2021), the result of a mini-residency with the Indonesia Visual Art Archive (IVAA).

Syska is often involved in the management of various art projects as well as initiating several program activities. Syska served as Program Director for the East Java Biennale 8 (2019) and the East Java Biennale IX (2021). In addition, she is also a member of the Jaringan Perempuan Pekerja Seni Indonesia (PUAN SENI) as a facilitator for East Java, as well as being part of Perempuan Lintas Batas (PERETAS).

Together with several female artists in East Java, they established the Perempuan Pengkaji Seni (PPS) group, as a platform for women in conveying their perspectives through art, as well as being present to build an art ecosystem that is more critical, diverse, and equal in the context of gender justice. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Syska and his partners created the Art Down Forum platform, with several programs

being carried out which can be accessed on the IG account @artdown_forum.

Apart from the arts, he is also active as an activist on women’s issues and the gender equality movement. Syska was once the chair of the Women’s March Surabaya 2020 and International Women’s Day Surabaya 2021 and 2022, which is an activity to celebrate international women’s day as well as our action movement in voicing rights and fighting against women’s injustice (gender).

FLOURISH SEKARJATI

Flourish Sekarjati, tinggal dan bekerja di Plesungan, Karanganyar Jawa Tengah. Aktif dalam melukis dan berpameran sejak menempuh Pendidikan di Seni rupa jurusan Murni UNS Surakarta di tahun 1996, di antaranya : Pameran Seni Rupa Keliling Kampung-kampung di Surakarta (1999), Kolaborasi Performance Art “Dialog of Soul” dengan Izumi Nagano, Satriana Didiek, dan Hari Sinthu dalam Gelar Seni Rupa Bermain-Holistik di Surakarta. DENSIEL PRISMA Y LEBANG

Densiel Prisma Yanti Lebang

Lulusan Pascasarjana Institut Kesenian Jakarta ini, Densiel Prisma Yanti Lebang aktif berkarya sebagai seniman independen, sutradara, koreografer dan performer sejak 2013. Ia berkarya untuk seniman kontemporer Indonesia dan internasional. Sebagai Koreografer, ia terutama mengangkat tema-tema yang berkaitan dengan konteks perkotaan dan semua masalah dalam kompleksitas perkotaan, karyanya mencoba mengungkap semua masalah sosial yang ada di masyarakat perkotaan. Pada tahun 2017, ia mendapatkan hibah dari Yayasan Kelola untuk membuat #NEEDMOREINTERACTION dan terpilih sebagai koreografer untuk karya “Ins and Outs” Sasikirana Dance Lab dan Choreo-Lab Bandung. Pada tahun 2018, ia menciptakan karya “Let’s Talk” dalam program “Lintas Media” yang diselenggarakan oleh Komite Teater Dewan Kesenian Jakarta. Di tahun yang sama ia mempresentasikan karyanya yang berjudul “Inhibition” di Festival Seni Pertunjukan Internasional Salihara, pada akhir 2018 ia mempresentasikan karyanya yang berjudul “No Limit 2.0” di Festival Tari Indonesia. Pada 2019, ia mempersembahkan “Inhibition 2.0” di Ansan Street Arts Festival in South Korea dan di Teater Cabaret Chairil Garasi, dan membuat karya baru berjudul “MISS”di Asiatri Yogyakarta. Pada tahun 2020 Dia mempresentasikan karya barunya “Bodily/Physical/Material” di Sanskar Festival India dan Online Performance Arts Festival USA. Dia juga mempersembahkan film tari barunya “CHAOTIC” di Dance in Asia dan film ini masuk seleksi resmi di Kalakari Film Festival India dan Reeling : Dance on Screen Festival oleh Mile Zero Dance Canada. Pada tahun 2021, karyanya terpilih sebagai penerima Special Prize di Mellow Art Japan. Pada tahun yang sama ia membuat karya baru berjudul “Another Body-Another Space-Another Time” di Helatari Salihara dan membuat koreografi instruksional “Where are you going today?” dalam program yang diselenggarakan oleh Goethe Institut Indonesia. Pada tahun ini ia juga berpartisipasi dalam proyek kolaborasi berjudul “14” yang diselenggarakan oleh Esplanade Singapore dan pada akhir tahun ia menghasilkan film dance baru berjudul “You Might Like”. Saat ini bekerja sebagai program manager di StandArt Foundation.

 

Densiel Prisma Yanti Lebang has been actively working as an independent artist, director, choreographer, and performer since 2013 . She has finished her MFA from Jakarta Institute of the As a Choreographer, she mainly raises themes related to the urban context and all problems in urban complexity, her work tries to reveal all the social problems that exist in urban society. In 2017, she received a grant from the Kelola Foundation to create #NEEDMOREINTERACTION and was chosen as a choreographer for the work of “Ins and Outs” Sasikirana Dance Lab and Choreo-Lab Bandung. In 2018, she created the work “Let’sTalk” in the “Lintas Media” program organized by the Committee Theatre Jakarta Arts Council. In the same year, she presented her work entitled “Inhibition” at the Salihara International Performing Arts Festival, at the end of 2018 she presented her work entitled “No Limit 2.0” at the Indonesian Dance Festival. In 2019, she presented “Inhibition 2.0” at the Ansan Street Arts Festival in South Korea and the Cabaret Chairil Theater Garasi, and made a new work entitled “MISS” at Asiatri Yogyakarta. In 2020 She presented her new works “Bodily/Physical/Material” at Sanskar Festival India and Online Performance Arts Festival USA. She also presented her new dance film “CHAOTIC” at Dance in Asia and this film is Official Selection at Kalakari Film Festival India and Reeling: Dance on Screen Festival by Mile Zero Dance Canada. In 2021, her work was selected as the special prize at Mellow Art Japan. I MADE YOGI SUGIARTHA

I Made Yogi Sugiartha atau kerap disapa Ogik lahir pada tahun 1997, adalah seniman Indonesia yang berbasis di Jakarta. Ketertarikannya pada seni tari memberinya kesempatan untuk berkolaborasi dengan beberapa seniman nasional dan internasional seperti Hartati (Indonesia), Melati Suryodarmo (Indonesia), Hanafi (Indonesia), Jordan Marzuki (Indonesia), Osamu Shikichi (Jepang), Ness Roque (Filipina), Peter Wilson (Australia), Melodi Dorcas (India), Mio Ishida (Jepang), Yusaku Arai (Jepang).

Memiliki pengalaman kolaboratif dengan berbagai keterampilan interdisipliner dalam improvisasi dan eksplorasi karya. Ogik terus mengeksplorasi potensi dinamis dalam seni pertunjukan dengan mengintegrasikan berbagai media yang unik secara fisik berdasarkan pengalaman dan realismenya.

Di karya terkhir ia mengembangkan gerakan kepedulian terhadap komunitas mengenai kekhawatirannya atas kekerasan dan diskriminasi terhadap transpuan, membuat ia bertanya tentang apa itu kepedulian dalam era “pasca-sentuh”, Ogik menciptakan karya baru yang bicara atas kemerdekaan gender dan Hak Asasi Manusia.

I Made Yogi Sugiartha, also known as  Ogik, born in 1997, lives and works in Jakarta. In his last work, he developed a community awareness movement regarding his concerns about violence and discrimination against transgender women, making him ask what caring is in the “post-touch” era, Ogik creates a new work that talks about gender independence and human rights

MONICA HAPSARI

 

Monica Hapsari adalah seniman visual dan illustrator yang juga mengeksplorasi bunyi & vocal. Seniman yang berbasis di Tangerang ini adalah lulusan Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain Institut Teknologi Bandung. Saat ini dia bekerja sebagai dosen. Dia adalah salah satu finalis UOB Painting of The Year 2018 dan aktif sebagai anggota LSM reboisasi bernama Tree Of Heart pada bagian Pemasaran dan Advokasi.

Dia mempelajari berbagai praktik spiritual tradisional sebagai proses pembelajaran untuk hidupnya, menggabungkannya dan menafsirkannya dengan seni visual dan karya suaranya. Dia pernah mengikuti acara-acara seperti Radio Nusasonic #4 : Quiet Riot 2021 (Nusasonic adalah proyek multi-tahun yang dibuat secara kolaboratif oleh Yes No Klub (Jogjakarta), WSK Festival of the Recent Possible (Manila), Playfreely / Black Kaji (Singapura) dan CTM Festival for Adventurous Music & Art (Berlin), “Thoughts and Ideas” Vol.2 Radio Show, 2021, Mutant Radio Tbilisi, Georgia yang dikuratori oleh Que Sakamoto dan Sacred Rhythm Reborn Unison Festival 2020 dan memamerkan karya senandungnya di HAH Project dengan OmniSpace di Zeitraumexit, Mannhein, Jerman, 2021 dan Terletak Sound IV : Eulogies oleh Array Music Toronto, 2021.

Bidang seni yang multi disiplin membuatnya memiliki banyak sudut pandang terhadap karya-karyanya. Dari seni visual, musik, frekuensi, hingga seni performans. Sebagian besar karyanya berfokus pada frekuensi ilmiah, ketidaksempurnaan pita suara dan pengaruhnya terhadap indera primordial dan area psikologis manusia. Sebagian besar karya visual dan proyek bunyinya berbicara tentang jalannya menuju pemurnian dan pengampunan. Sebuah perjalanan di dalam, ke Diri batinnya, makro kosmos sebagai proyeksi mikro kosmos dan bagaimana dia berjuang dan berayun untuk mencapai jalan pulang ke “Rumah”

Monica Hapsari is a Tangerang-based visual artist, illustrator, and a sound – vocal explorer. She is graduated from the Faculty of Visual Art and Design, Institut Teknologi Bandung. Currently, she works as a lecturer and active member of a reforestation NGO called Tree Of Heart as a Marketing and Advocation team.

She has been learning various traditional spiritual practices as a learning process for her life and reinterpreted it through her visual art and sound works. She was one of the finalists of UOB Painting of The Year 2018 and had joined several events such as; Nusasonic Radio #4: Quiet Riot 2021 (Nusasonic is a multi-year project collaboratively created by Yes No Klub (Jogjakarta), WSK Festival of the Recently Possible (Manila), Playfreely / Black Kaji (Singapore), and CTM Festival for Adventurous Music & Art (Berlin), “Thoughts and Ideas” Vol. 2 Radio Show, 2021, Mutant Radio Tbilisi, Georgia curated by Que Sakamoto and Sacred Rhythm Reborn Unison Festival 2020 and exhibited her work in H.A.H. Project with OmniSpace at Zeitraumexit, Mannheim, Germany, 2021 and Situated Sound IV: Eulogies by Array Music Toronto, 2021.

Her multi-disciplinary practice enriches her way to see her visual art, music, frequencies, and performance artworks. Most of her works are focusing on scientific frequencies, the imperfection of the vocal cord, and its effect on the human primordial sense and psychological area. She respected imperfection and failure the most and treats song and performance not as a tool of beauty and perfection, but as an on-progress trial and error exploration for her to respect the playful kindred spirit of humans.

An attempt for hybrid, scientific sorcery.

A celebration of human imperfection.

Most of her visual works and sound projects talk about her pathway to purification and forgiveness. A journey within, to her inner Self, the macro cosmos as a projection of the microcosm and how she struggles and sways her way to reach her way back “Home”.

Karya “nol” terinspirasi dari telur-telur paskah sebagai simbol dalam perayaan hari raya paskah. Penggunaan telur yang juga sangat dekat pada ritus-ritus di Indonesia menempatkan telur memiliki posisi khusus. Karya ini memaknai telur sebagai sebagai benih kehidupan juga sebagai awal dan akhir. Telur sebagai simbol benih kehidupan, serta awal dan akhir adalah bagaimana perjalan manusia berprilaku dalam kehidupannya. Keseimbangan adalah hal utama bagaimana manusia dapat berjalan selaras dengan alam semesta, perjalanan-perjalanan yang di biaskan awal dan akhir merupakan titik pencapaian nol.
