Jozef Cseres

Jozef Cseres (b. 1961 in Nové Zámky, Slovakia) lectures the aesthetics and the philosophy of music and visual arts at Comenius University in Bratislava, Music Academy in Banská Bystrica and Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno. He is the author of two books and many articles, essays and translations. He is active also as a curator and editor. Since 1997 he is the director of The Rosenberg Museum in Violín, Slovakia and since 2001 he is running the label HEyeRMEarS/DISCORBIE. Under his artistic nickname HEyeRMEarS he balances on the borders between the discursive and non-discursive ways of expression and between the art and game, doing the performances, installations and various intermedia. For these purposes he co-founded the groups LENGOW & HEyeRMEarS and The Lazy Anarchists. Jozef Cseres realized and presented his projects in many European and Asian countries. Currently he lives in Brno, Czech Republic.
