Waldemar Tatarczuk

Born in 1964 in Siemiatycze / Poland, performance and media artist, freelance curator, lives and works in Lublin/Poland. Education: Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin (1985-1991). He has presented performances since 1988. His key works: ?Bread – Wine ? Blood” (1990), ?Steps” (1997), ?21” (2001), ?Corpus” series (from 2006), participated in festivals: Navinki International Performance Art Festival (Minsk/Belarus), Harta Performing Monza (Monza/Italy), Blurrr Performance Art Biennale (Tel Aviv/Israel), Interactions International Art Festival (Piotrkow Trybunalski/Poland), Asiatopia International Performance Art Festival (Bangkok/Thailand), Infraction (Paris/France), Open International Performance Art Festival (Beijing/China), Belfast Festival at Queens (Belfast/Northern Ireland).
He is a founder and curator of Performance Art Centre in Lublin (1999-2010), founder of Open Live Art Archive (2006), director of Labirynt Gallery in Lublin (from 2010), curator of performance art programme in Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw (2006 ? until now).
