Guh S Mana
Born in 1968, lives and works in Solo. Painting on canvas has been ingrained, and like the flow of blood for him.
If an expert on poetry manifests his feelings by strains and beautiful words, while GUH, looking for the depth of his feeling by scratching them out on canvas. GUH will paint, enjoy it with feeling, even with the limitations of painting media, or even in a crowd, nothing can stop him carve his feelings.
The Indonesian Records Museum (MURI) has given awards to GUH for his phenomenal and amazing works in his Solo Exhibitions :”Thousand Faces” (2004); “Hair on Canvas” (2008); “Painting Under Water” (2009) ; “Soulful Kisses” (2011) ; “The meaning of the lips is more than that…” he said, “…If the fingers or toes have a ”fingerprint“ as well as with the lips, the difference is if the hand can meet with others when shaking hands, lips should only be linked with others… only with LOVE”. This inspired GUH in his great work “Soulful Kisses”
